Rangers want to sign Antoine Semenyo as he jets off to World Cup
Rangers want to sign Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo but face Premier League competition for the player as he heads off to the FIFA World Cup, according to Football Scotland.
The Gers may lose forward Alfredo Morelos in January or the summer which would free up space for a new striker in their squad.
The report suggests that Rangers have sent “scouts” to watch Semenyo play over a number of months but his time the Qatar World Cup could make it more difficult to sign him.

“Football Scotland understands, has been watched by Ibrox scouts over the past number of months but his time in Qatar could potentially make it more difficult for Gers to sign him,” as quoted by Football Scotland.
“Semenyo has serious Premier League interest down south which is another battle the Light Blues would have to contend with if they’re to stand a chance of landing him.”

Moving forward.
It’s time for a fresh striking slate to be unveiled at Ibrox and unfortunately, Morelos shouldn’t be part of it.
The Columbian has done little to suggest he’s worthy of playing in the Light Blue shirt anymore and it’s time for the club to invest in a new forward to challenge Antonio Colak.
Semenyo is as interesting as they come, in terms of finding a replacement for Morelos, he could be lethal in the Scottish Premiership.
Five goals in 22 appearances for the Robins this season don’t do the Ghana international justice, he’s a fierce talent with an extremely high ceiling.
And at just 22 years old the youngster can be crafted and moulded into something far greater, perhaps he can be Michael Beale’s first project as the Gers’ head coach.
Whether Rangers’ interest will be turned into a concrete offer remains to be seen, but the club would be foolish to not at least attempt to sign Semenyo.
In other Rangers news, sources have revealed a clash between van Bronckhorst and senior players that helped lead to his demise.
