Rangers may fancy chances to sign Lyndon Dykes to replace Alfredo Morelos as Michael Beale closes in on Ibrox hot seat
Rangers would certainly be looking for a replacement for Alfredo Morelos and may not need to look any further than Lyndon Dykes if Michael Beale joins the club.
The QPR manager appears to be on the cusp of taking over the hot seat at Ibrox and he will be aware that this squad does require surgery if they are to return to winning ways in the future.
He oversaw a successful era at Ibrox under Steven Gerrard and will be hoping that he manages to go above and beyond what the former Liverpool captain could achieve in Glasgow.

Signing a new striker could be Beale’s first duties, especially if Morelos is managed to be sold by the club in the January transfer window.
It’s understood that he’s even decided to leave the club in 2023 and whether or not that’s over the winter or in the summer after his contract expires, remains to be seen.
There’s a very good chance that Beale turns to Dykes – a player who’s not only admired by him but also by the club – who hold a longstanding interest in signing him.
TEAMTalk reported in January 2022 that the Gers have joined Newcastle in the race to sign the in-form 27-year-old Scotland striker.
He’s continued his form into this campaign as well – scoring five goals in the last nine league games – playing a key role in making QPR one of the promotion favourites.
He is someone who knows Beale’s system thoroughly and we believe that it’s a move which makes a lot of sense in January.
In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
