Gerardo Seoane follows Rangers on social media amid Ibrox links

Former Bayer Leverkusen manager Gerardo Seoane has been spotted following Rangers on Instagram amid links to the Ibrox hot seat.

Gers parted ways with Giovanni van Bronckhorst recently and are looking for a replacement for the Dutchman.

A number of names have been thrown into the mix, and the Scottish Daily Express claimed on 21 November, that Seoane is also in contention for the job.

As the screenshot above shows, Seoane, from his official Instagram account that has 16.6k followers, is following the Ibrox giants.

Coincidence?

It could be a coincidence that Seoaneis following the Gers on Instagram as he just likes to stay up to date with the most historical teams in Europe.

However, that would still be strange as he does not have any previous links to the club.

He does not follow Celtic, Manchester United, Liverpool or any other of the United Kingdom’s established teams either so there’s a good chance he started following Rangers once the links emerged.

Regardless, he is a decent option to explore should Michael Beale not take over at Ibrox, for whatever reasons.

Right now, he seems the favourite to sit on the vacant hot seat and bring Rangers back to the summit of Scottish football as they’ve been usurped by Celtic once again.

If not, Seoane, is a three-time Swiss Super League winner, boasts an impressive CV and also plays an attractive brand of football that will get the Rangers fans excited.

In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
