Clubs in Germany and England track Rangers star Ryan Kent, transfer decision soon
Rangers will know “by the end of the year” whether Ryan Kent will remain at the club or leave when his contract expires, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The 26-year-old has been a bright spark in a turgid Gers season so far, with at least a couple of clubs in Germany and England taking note on his future.
The winger’s contract is due to expire next summer, sparking speculation over whether the Englishman will remain at the Ibrox Stadium or part ways with the club.

Speaking with Give Me Sport, Jones said: “I know he’s got a couple of clubs interested in him in England, there’s been a couple of clubs in Germany tracking him for a while now as well too.
“So, we should know by the end of the year exactly which way this is going.”

Contract decision looms
Rangers managing director Stewart Robinson recently revealed that contract talks with Kent had commenced [Daily Record], and Rangers will be hoping to lure their star player into a fresh stint at the club.
The winger has been in inconsistent form this season, but in recent matches against Hearts and St Mirren looked to be back to his best. The 26-year-old terrorized Hearts’ backline in the 1-0 victory and topped it off with an assist for Malik Tillman’s winning goal.
For a player of Kent’s quality though, he does blow hot and cold far too often. On his day he’s a proven match-winner but goes missing in big matches when his side needs him most.
News on Kent’s potential transfer highlights that the Rangers board are now approaching a crossroads on numerous levels.
The future of Giovanni van Bronckhorst as manager still remains under close scrutiny and alongside Kent sits at the top of Rangers’ to-do list in the coming months.
