Rangers early team news v Hibernian, four players to return from injury
Rangers are set to welcome four players back from injury for their first game after the World Cup break, according to The Athletic.
Ben Davies, Antonio Colak and Fashion Sakala all have short-term injuries, so will all be available for the clash against Hibernian on 15 December.
It’s also been suggested (The Athletic, 16 November) that Ridvan Yilmaz is a few weeks away and is likely to back fit for when Hibs travel to Ibrox. The Gers will be without Ianis Hagi, Connor Goldson, Kemar Roofe and Tom Lawrence until the new year.

Some list
Although performances haven’t been good under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, the injury list at Ibrox has not helped the Dutchman in any way whatsoever. Lawrence was the Light Blues’ most promising player before his injury and had he been fit, things could have been very different for the Dutchman.
If the 47-year-old does remain in charge at Ibrox, ensuring he gets as many of his injured players back in contention is an absolute must. If Lawrence, Goldson and Hagi can come back and hit the ground running, there’s a small chance he could turn his fortunes around.

The break has potentially come at a good time, with there now being an opportunity for players to return from injury without missing further fixtures.
Nevertheless, van Bronckhorst will be fully aware he must improve performances on the pitch quickly if he wishes to save his tenure in Govan. His side’s most recent displays have been well below what is required from any group of players which represents Rangers.
In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
