Rangers behind-the-scenes exit as employee quits role to join Brighton Women’s Super League side
BBC social employee Jamie Murray has taken to Twitter to reveal that Heather Miller has left her role as the Communications Executive at Rangers.
She has been labelled as a lifelong Gers fans and will now be moving to England to take on a new challenge in the Women’s Super League with Brighton.
This announcement has also been reshared on Twitter by Rangers TV employee Gordon Sommerville.
Murray wrote, “Wishing Heather Miller, Communications Executive at Rangers, all the best as she leaves her role to take on a new exciting challenge in the Barclays WSL with Brighton & Hove Albion Women.”
Good luck
Leaving Rangers would certainly be a tough moment for someone that’s followed the club all their lives.
There is that kind of attachment that comes with merely supporting the club which is known to have such a tight bond with its fans.
Miller undoubtedly did a great job during her time at Ibrox as some of the social media content put out by the official handles has been top notch.
We’re delighted with the work she put in behind the scenes and we wish her the best of luck in her next role – certain that she’ll do well there.
The club may now be looking for a replacement from outside or look to promote internally as there are a lot of talented people working at Rangers TV as well.
Social media is an important aspect for every club in today’s day and age and while it may not affect the first team directly, it does help in increasing exposure.
In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
