Giovanni van Bronckhorst contacts Fenerbahce as Alfredo Morelos decides to leave Rangers

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has reportedly contacted Fenerbahce as Alfredo Morelos has decided to leave Rangers when his deal runs out.

According to Turkish media outlet Fanatik [16 November], he was offered to the Europa League club in the summer as well, but manager Jorge Jesus preferred Michy Batshuayi.

Morelos has played second fiddle for most of the season to summer signing Antonio Colak who has hit the ground running for Rangers in the league.

Rangers

Sell him right away

Rangers will be making a big mistake if they end up letting Morelos leave on a free, given the demand in his services.

The Colombian is undoubtedly a talented striker who guarantees goals and it’s pretty clear that he’s not enjoying life at Ibrox.

Van Bronckhorst also does not seem to want him at the club any longer than his contract and if there is an opportunity will like to get rid of him in January as well.

Ideally, Morelos should’ve been sold in the summer as it would’ve given Gers more money to go and strengthen in other positions.

However, their squad is still in need of surgery in different areas so if he’s sold in January, they must use that money on signing a new attacker.

It remains to be seen what the board ends up doing about van Bronckhorst’s future as well because he’s walking on thin ice himself after the wretched run of form.

In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
