Giovanni van Bronckhorst yet to hold talks over Rangers sack with Ibrox board
The Rangers board have still yet to hold a meeting to discuss the future of Giovanni van Bronckhorst, according to the Daily Record.
Pressure has been mounting on the Dutchman for several weeks and that increased significantly after they were left nine points adrift of Celtic in the Premiership following a 1-1 draw away at St Mirren.
van Bronckhorst has already flown back to his homeland, the Netherlands, in order to spend some time with his family at the beginning of the World Cup break.

But he is yet to talk to the board over his position and it now appears that the hierarchy at Ibrox have not yet spoken among themselves about what they intend to do next.
Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen has rejected talks of him leaving the Norwegian side for Rangers, saying: “I do not want any enquiries and I do not answer any telephone calls. I only have 100 per cent focus on Bodo/Glimt.”
Baffling
If the board were not interested in sacking van Bronckhorst just yet then fair enough but it seems so strange to not even have a meeting to discuss it at the very start of the long World Cup break.
It should have been the very first thing on the agenda on Monday morning (14 November) after the dust had begun to settle from the St Mirren draw.

But now van Bronckhorst has had to return to his native Holland with his future very much walking a tightrope and he may return to Glasgow only to be sent packing immediately.
It’s no secret that something has to change at Ibrox to try and put the brakes on Celtic’s cruise to the title as soon as possible and it is now down to the board to decide if the Dutchman is who they see being able to do that.
If he isn’t, then they have to have their big meeting very soon and just pull the trigger now so they have plenty of time to find a new manager before the restart.
In other Rangers news, Douglas Park is remaining very quiet on the situation having not yet been in touch with van Bronckhorst.
