Glen Kamara is done at Rangers after what happened vs St Mirren
Glen Kamara’s Ibrox career is as good as over after he was hooked at half-time by Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst in their 1-1 draw with St Mirren.
The Finland international has missed a large portion of the season through injury, but when he has been available he’s struggled to make an impact of hold down a place in the starting lineup.
But he was included from the start of the must-win fixture in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon (12 November), but it didn’t quite go to plan.

After a stale performance in the opening 45 minutes, Kamara was brought off at the break by Van Bronckhorst and replaced by Scott Arfield.
It’s since been shared by The Athletic that words were exchanged between player and manager, with Kamara watching the second half from the tunnel rather than the dugout with his teammates and boss.
The former Arsenal academy man had been a regular in the side in recent years and was someone that fans were always comfortable with seeing in the starting lineup, but things have changed in the last year or so and he’s suddenly seemingly become expendable.
It probably didn’t help when Kamara opted to openly speak about his dreams to play in one of Europe’s top five leagues when he was linked with a summer move to Aston Villa and a reunion with former boss Steven Gerrard.
But he’s firmly behind John Lundstram as the number one midfielder at the club now, and the likes of Arfield, Steven Davis, James Sands and Ryan Jack are all seemingly ahead of him too when everyone is fit.
There is plenty of time on his contract at the club, but whether or not Van Bronckhorst sticks around or not after this World Cup break, Kamara should probably move on.
Premier League clubs would no doubt show an interest and with his contract status as it is, the club can demand good money for him.
Get that reinvested into the squad to bring in more quality and players that actually want to be here, and mix that with a manager who knows what he’s doing and there’s no doubt we will see an improvement in the new year.
