Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be packing his Rangers bags after clash v St Mirren

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be packing his bags when he gets home after Rangers damning draw to St. Mirren on Saturday afternoon.

Scottish Premiership giant killers St. Mirren followed up a win against Celtic earlier in the season by drawing to the Gers in front of their home crowd.

It’s devastatingly woeful for van Bronckhorst right now and he must surely be on his way out after this damning result means the Bears could now be nine points behind the leaders tonight.

Rangers

There’s not much to say about this, it’s inevitable and has been coming, Rangers fans have simply been watching the Dutchman slip up repeatedly.

Injury problems haven’t helped the Gers or van Bronckhorst but this excuse doesn’t cut it, Rangers simply can’t be losing points to St. Johnstone and St. Mirren within a month.

Rangers

Final straw.

This must surely be the final straw for van Bronckhorst, Rangers look lost and out of ideas.

His tactics and formations have become stale and Saturday afternoon’s lackluster outing against St. Mirren showcased Rangers at their very worst.

Attacking opportunities were wasted time and time again and van Bronckhorst’s decision to show some faith in Alfredo Morelos completely backfired.

The route out of this utter mess is simple, the club need to sack van Bronckhorst as soon as possible and look for a new head coach immediately.

Rangers’ hierarchy can’t keep waiting around for things to get better, they’re only making things worse.

There are plenty of options out there on the market right now and the sooner Rangers act the more likely they’ll get a perfectly fitted candidate.

Sean Dyche is a name that has been thrown about recently and he may be the kind of coach to get the team back to playing in an orderly manner.

In other Rangers news, the Gers are ready to bid £5million to beat Celtic to the signing of one of their long-term targets.
