Rangers player ratings in Scottish Premiership showdown v St Mirren
Rangers travelled to St Mirren on Saturday 12th November knowing that they needed to pick up three points in the Scottish Premiership before the World Cup break.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst was desperate for three points and he made changes with Alfredo Morelos the main man to come in for Antonio Colak up top.
It went from bad to worse though for the Bears and the gaffer, as they crashed to one goal behind in the second half before James Tavernier smashed home a penalty to draw things level.

Ibrox News rated the players out of 10 below…
Allan McGregor – 6
Again, he was let down by his outfield players. The keeper had very little to do but pulled off a sensational save before the opening goal, only to see his defence mess around and gift the goal anyway – he must be raging.
James Tavernier – 3
The skipper can make all the excuses he wants in the world, but he needs to look at himself before others. Once again, his delivery into the box was nothing short of abysmal and if we see him complaining one more time without sorting himself out, we will give up like the squad have. Does the penalty make up for the display? We’d say not.
James Sands – 4
Sands was average and that is enough to say he was one of our better options, with his passing the only positive. Compare that to his defending, and you have to say that it simply was not good enough.
Leon King – 1
Bullied at times, and it was difficult to watch against the towering figure of Jonah Ayunga, especially for the opening goal where his horror show led to the striker tapping home – embarrassing. We obviously wish him well after the worrying scenes as he was stretchered off later on in the game.

Borna Barisic – 3
The most frustrating player to watch in games with some of his crosses simply divine, but then he lets himself down with some shocking defender or simply brainless decisions at the back – we need more consistency right now.
John Lundstram – 2
We don’t know what has happened to the best in midfield in recent weeks. Lundstram dominated everyone over the past year, but in recent weeks his game has slipped dramatically, including here where there were far too many misplaced passes.
Glen Kamara – 5
Van Bronckhorst has not helped himself with his selection in recent weeks, and his decision to take off Kamara made little sense when he was one of the players making things tick in midfield. The Finland international getting back to his silky best is critical, and the early signs were positive here.
Malik Tillman – 5
The build-up play was sharp once again from the American, but for whatever reason, he just didn’t want to pull the trigger and shoot, and when he did, it was a poor effort when it was easier to score.

Scott Wright – 6
One of the few bright lights down the right, with his burst of pace dangerous throughout. On another day, his towering header would have gone either side of the keeper and into the net, but it simply wasn’t meant to be.
Ryan Kent – 6
When will the message get across to the rest of the squad that Kent cannot do it all by himself as he won the game-saving penalty? No wonder the winger hasn’t penned a new contract yet, when this is the sort of rubbish he has to surround himself with every week. The winger was even one of our most hardworking defenders too, which just about summed this afternoon up.
Alfredo Morelos – 1
What has happened to the Bufalo? His hold-up play was non-existent, every time he touched the ball the attack simply died and he doesn’t look fit enough to even lace up his boots right now – he will get Van Bronckhorst sacked with displays like this.
Substitutes: Scott Arfield: 5, Ryan Jack: 5
