Rabbi Matondo starts as change made – Rangers confirmed XI v Hearts
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has named his Rangers lineup for Wednesday night’s Scottish Premiership match against Hearts at Ibrox.
After a dismal 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone last Sunday, Van Bronckhorst will look to claim three points against an in-form Hearts side and stabilise his position as Rangers manager.
Rangers confirmed their starting XI via Twitter, with Van Bronckhorst making just one change from the loss at the weekend.
Rabbi Matondo comes into the starting XI in place of the injured Fashion Jr, while James Tavernier captains the side in the last game at the Ibrox ahead of the Qatar World Cup.
Must Win
Arriving on the back of a shock defeat to St Johnstone, the pressure is well and truly on Van Bronckhorst to deliver three points as he clings to his position as manager.
Sitting seven points off league leaders Celtic after just 13 games highlights the miserable state of affairs that the Dutchman lies in, and he arrives on Wednesday night under intense scrutiny from both the fans and the board.

A winless European campaign in which they conceded 22 goals and scored just two has ramped the temperature up to boiling point within the Ibrox Stadium, and a chorus of boos could await Van Bronckhorst if his side doesn’t get off to a quick start.
Anything less than a win could prove detrimental to Rangers’ title bid, but they face a Hearts side who arrive on the back of two victories and a vital 3-2 win over Motherwell at the weekend, despite being reduced to ten men.
