Simon Jordan: Tragic end is near for Giovanni van Bronckhorst with Rangers sack close

Simon Jordan believes a tragic end is in sight for Giovanni van Bronckhorst as Rangers suffered yet another setback on Sunday 6th November.

Rangers fell to a damning 2-1 defeat to St. Johnstone, which ended a torrid week for the club where they were named the worst-ever UEFA Champions League side.

Speaking live on talkSPORT to Jim White (7th November, 10:36), Jordan made his prediction for the near future with his job now firmly on the line at Ibrox.

“If he is fortunate enough to stay in his position come January 2nd against Celtic and if they hand them their heads again, which is entirely possible, I think that’s where he’ll find himself in a difficult position,” said Jordan.

“I think tragically for him because he’s a nice bloke, unless we see a massive turnaround in improvement, where I can’t see it coming from, I don’t think he’ll see more time out at Rangers.”

Last Judgement.

The clock is ticking on van Bronkhorst’s time at Rangers and it’s extremely hard to see him worming his way out of this now.

Wednesday’s clash against Hearts at Ibrox could be his last and it wouldn’t be surprising if he got the sack after the game concludes, regardless of the result.

It’s a shame things are coming to an end like this for the Dutchman, he’s brought plenty of great times to Rangers but this season his tactics haven’t been good enough.

It’s the perfect time to bring some change into Ibrox, just before the World Cup break, whoever would be selected as his replacement would have sufficient time to settle.

There will be options that can get the Gers fans excited and names that the Ibrox faithful will want the club to avoid. Nevertheless, until van Bronckhorst is sacked, nothing concrete can be decided, it’s going to be an interesting week.
