Giovanni van Bronckhorst now in fight to keep Rangers job, no change expected before Hearts
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is now in a fight to keep his Rangers job, however, a quick turnaround in fixtures means he’ll still be in the job for the visit of Hearts on Wednesday, according to the Daily Record.
The Light Blues now sit seven points behind Scottish Premiership league leaders Celtic after the demoralising 2-1 defeat to St. Johnstone on Sunday 6th November.
Back-to-back defeats could ultimately be the final straw for Van Bronckhorst and all eyes will be on Ibrox as Rangers clash against Hearts on Wednesday the 9th.

The Dutchman is clinging on by the skin of his teeth and it seems like the Rangers hierarchy are just delaying the inevitable right now.
Things have gone from bad to worse and in a week where the club were named the worst-ever UEFA Champions League side, a damning defeat to St. Johnstone only added to the pain.

Pulling the trigger.
Rangers have yet to pull the trigger on van Bronckhorst which may suggest they may be waiting to line up a replacement before they do.
This would make a lot of sense as to why the Dutchman wasn’t fired on the spot for the horrific St. Johnston defeat.
There are only two more games until the World Cup break, making a new appointment before then would give a new manager enough time to get settled.
One thing all Rangers fans can agree on is that Steven Gerrard isn’t the answer, if anything, this would be a step back for the club.
All in all, it’s not fair for van Bronckhorst to continue like this and unless he performs some kind of miracle there is little to no chance of him making it back.
It’s a shame, but results and more importantly performances have been sub-par for too long this campaign, changes must be made.
In other Rangers news, this Celtic chief wants private talks with the Gers after an incident that was brought up at their AGM.
