Kenny Miller shares ‘best case scenario’ Rangers transfer verdict
Kenny Miller has suggested that Rangers should now make a “huge” decision on two of their key players – Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent.
With the January window coming up, both of these players are free to talk to foreign clubs over a move in the summer, as they have contracts at Ibrox until the end of the season.
Miller, who works for BBC Sports, added that he hasn’t heard any clubs sniffing around Morelos as yet.

“For both, it will be a minimum three-year deal and probably for improved terms on top of what will already be a good pay packet within Rangers’ wage structure,” wrote Miller for The Sunday Mail (6 November, page 66).
“Based on what we are seeing from them at the moment, form wise, then it’s a huge decision.
“But it’s only a few weeks until both players are allowed to speak to other clubs and it’s huge question whether they should cut their losses if a bid comes in during January.
“Rangers will have placed a value on these players – but I don’t hear clubs sniffing around right now.
“I can’t see either going for more than a couple of million with six months left on their contracts. And that’s a best-case scenario.”
Big decision
It is indeed a big decision for the Bears as they head towards the January window in a couple of months’ time.
In recent windows, Rangers have been able to sell some of their top players at a high transfer fee. For instance, the likes of Nathan Patterson, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey were sold at a very good price.
If the club decide to get rid of both Kent and Morelos, they must consider the financial aspect of the deals as well.

Both the players have been great assets for the club, and it would be ludicrous to sell them on the cheap. That doesn’t make any sense.
Morelos has been outstanding for the club since he joined, racking up over 100 goals. However, he has struggled to find the net on a consistent basis this season.
Van Bronckhorst has used him mostly from the bench, with Antonio Colak being preferred ahead of him. Kent, on the other hand, has played regularly, but his performances have been very inconsistent.
In other Rangers news, Nicola Sturgeon has been called out amid a worrying recent development at Ibrox.
