Chris Sutton instantly reacts on Twitter as Rangers suffer defeat v St Johnstone
Chris Sutton has mocked Rangers immediately after their 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone on Sunday, labelling the home side as “simply the best”.
The Gers were comfortably beaten by St Johnstone after two wonder strikes, before James Tavernier added a late consolation as they fell seven points behind Celtic at the top of the table.
Sutton took to social media quickly after the final whistle, mocking Rangers fans once again as they licked their wounds following the loss.
“St Johnstone simply the best today…” he said, writing on his personal Twitter account (6 November).
Rangers have two more games before the World Cup break, but now face a huge uphill battle to wrestle the SPFL crown back from Celtic this season.
Has to go
Van Bronckhorst has got to go, there’s no two ways about it.
His team selection was strong, despite the injuries, and yet the team simply couldn’t affect the game in dangerous areas and were well beaten on the day.
He’s got the best players in the team performing poorly and can’t seem to motivate them for games like this, where it was imperative to win with Celtic picking up three points themselves 24 hours prior.
Now there is no European football for 2023, but the title looks like a foregone conclusion too and we’re only just in November.
The manager is to blame and while there are other, bigger problems at the club too, that is one that can and should be changed immediately.
Sutton is going to have an absolute blast with the team all week now, and he’s got every right to considering what we would do if Celtic couldn’t get the job done against that mob.
A poor showing, and more nonsense we have to hear spewed from his mouth.
