Chris Sutton warns Celtic fans to avoid embarrassing Rangers tag
Chris Sutton has warned Celtic fans to not get carried away with taunting Rangers over their embarrassing UEFA Champions League campaign.
Rangers were crowned as the worst-ever team to play in the group stages after Tuesday’s defeat to Ajax saw them finish bottom of Group A.
Sutton confessed that Celtic fans who are taking great delight from Rangers’ “embarrassing” UEFA Champions League tag need to set their ambitions higher.

“Celtic fans who are taking great delight in Rangers earning the embarrassing tag of being the worst Champions League team in history. But not being as bad as their rivals should not be the extent of ambitions at Parkhead,” said Sutton as quoted by the Daily Record.
“Rangers might have rolled up the white flag on match day one when they said they can’t compete. But Postecoglou’s side DID compete and the signs are they can make more of an impact in the future.”

Same old.
Sutton will be prodding and jabbing Rangers all season over their UEFA Champions League mishaps, he can’t seem to shut up about it at the moment.
The criticism is unfortunately deserved too, Gers were shambolic in Europe this season and showed little signs that they are anywhere near competing in it any time soon.
Domestic competitions must be the club’s priority now, European ambitions can be calculated over the summer months for next season.
More performances like the one against Aberdeen will go a long way toward getting fans back on side.
The Gers must do everything they can to keep up the pace with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, they could still be easily beaten.
In the grand scheme of things, four points are nothing and Celtic are due a slip-up at some point soon, Rangers just need to take advantage of it.
The Bears may have the last laugh over Sutton just yet.
In other Rangers news, a “crazy situation” has emerged at Ibrox that’s led to this star player being “gone” from the club.
