Ally McCoist and Chris Sutton predict results of Celtic v Dundee United and St Johnstone v Rangers

Ally McCoist and Chris Sutton have made their predictions for Rangers’ game against St. Johnstone and Celtic’s fixture with Dundee United.

In the ever-tight Scottish Premiership title race, any points dropped will result in league titles being lost, both fixtures are in the must-win category.

The duo predicted wins for both Rangers and Celtic this weekend, hardly surprising given the team’s positions in the league table.

Sutton and McCoist made their predictions live on BT Sports’ Scottish Football (04 November), with both giving Celtic a 4-0 win over Dundee United at Parkhead.

They differed as ever when it came to the Rangers vs. St. Johnstone result, with McCoist predicting a 2-0 win for the Gers whilst Sutton believes they will come out with a 2-1 win on Sunday.

Rangers

Doomsday.

It feels like every match at the moment is an impending doomsday for Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

A slip-up against a lower-placed Scottish Premiership side could prove to be the fatal remedy to send him packing.

The Dutchman has done little to get fans back on board and despite keeping up the pace domestically, their European campaign has branded Gers forever.

It’s hard to escape being named the worst ever UEFA Champions League team and being the laughing stock of Europe will never not be painful.

Winning the Scottish Premiership would be the saving grace for Van Bronckhorst this season, but it’s hard to see him making it that far.

His tactics and overall style of play need to drastically change.

If Rangers do opt to get rid of Van Bronckhorst they will need a ready-made replacement lined up, whispers of a Steven Gerrard return hardly fills fans with excitement.

In other Rangers news, a “crazy situation” has emerged at Ibrox that’s led to this star player being “gone” from the club.
