Giovanni van Bronckhorst frustrated with latest Kemar Roofe development at Rangers – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be frustrated with Kemar Roofe suffering yet another injury at Rangers, according to Tam McManus.
Roofe, 29, had missed the first few months of the season with a knee injury before finally making a comeback as a substitute in the win over Dundee on 18 October.
He played again for a few minutes against Livingston in the league on 22 October but hasn’t been since due to the injury-prone forward suffering yet another setback.

As quoted by the Scottish Daily Express on 28 October, Roofe is set to miss another couple of weeks of action and is unlikely to be back before the World Cup break begins.
Rangers’ form has been stuttering as of late and Roofe has consistently shown that when he plays, he can be an effective forward in the Scottish Premiership.
But ex-Scotland Under-21s striker McManus believes this latest setback just adds to van Bronckhorst’s misery.
“When Rangers signed him, we knew he had a history with injuries so they took a bit of a gamble on him,” McManus told Ibrox News.
“He did well and scored goals when he was fit and he looked a player.
“But if he keeps going down with injury, that’s really frustrating not just for him but for van Bronckhorst too.“

Roofe’s entire career has been plagued by injuries.
The former Anderlecht, Leeds and West Brom attacker enjoyed one of his best seasons at Ibrox last season, scoring 16 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions.
However, he was still forced to miss big games, including both of the Europa League semi-final clashes against RB Leipzig and the final Old Firm game of the Scottish Premiership campaign.
He was also only fit enough to be on the substitutes’ bench for the Europa League and Scottish Cup finals.
In other Rangers news, a “crazy situation” has emerged at Ibrox that’s led to this star player being “gone” from the club.
