Ally McCoist slams Alfredo Morelos after what he saw live on BT Sport in Rangers defeat v Napoli
Ally McCoist wasn’t impressed with Alfredo Morelos’ performance for Rangers as they lost 3-0 away to Napoli in their penultimate Champions League match on Wednesday.
Morelos failed to convert a one-v-one just before half time and after the break, he couldn’t get onto the end of a beautiful low cross into the box by Ridvan Yilmaz.
Speaking at half time after that missed one-on-one, Ibrox legend McCoist ripped into Morelos for his lacklustre display up front.

“He’s looked off it to me,” said Morelos on BT Sport 4 on Wednesday night (26 October, 08:55pm).
“I mean, let’s be honest about it. He’s been off the pace totally.
“I’m not sure it’s a great ball from Scott Wright initially because he should play it in front of him and stop him needing to take a touch.
“But as soon as you take a touch, Kenny and I are looking at each other saying, ‘he’s not going to get away from the defender’.
“And he didn’t get away from the defender. The defender gets back and makes a block.
“He’s looked off it.”

Get rid
Morelos is done for at Rangers.
He’s out of contract next year, he’s nowhere near being fully fit, he doesn’t look as though he cares about the club and his form is rank rotten.
Antonio Colak was signed in the summer and he’s looked like everything Morelos isn’t this season.
We get that Giovanni van Bronckhorst needs to rotate his striker options and he won’t get Morelos fit and firing again unless he’s starting the Colombian.
But Morelos has had a lot of chances now.
He’s repaid van Bronckhorst with just two goals in 13 appearances in all competitions.
While most of those appearances have been as a substitute, a player of Morelos’ quality should be able o come off the bench against teams like Livingston and have an impact.
We don’t think there’s any rescuing El Bufalo anymore.
In other Rangers news, this Ibrox board member is “getting it in the neck” as an official partner calls for him to be sacked.
