Mark Hateley was left stunned by Alfredo Morelos’ “incredible” miss for Rangers in their Champions League defeat against to Napoli.
The Colombian failed to convert an inch-perfect cross from Ridvan Yilmaz in the 66th minute of the game to cut the Gers’ 2-0 deficit in half.
The Former Light Blues striker was less than impressed with the 25-year-old’s effort after excellent work from the Turkish international.
“It’s an incredible miss. Good work from Yilmaz, and it slips under Morelos’ foot,” said Hateley (21:27, Sportsound)

Napoli don’t rest on their laurels and will always look to score three, four, or five goals when given the chance, so with everything considered, this wasn’t a horrendous evening’s work for the Gers. The third goal will infuriate the Dutchman with Rangers being undone by such a soft set-piece.
It now looks like an impossible task to secure qualification for the Europa League, with Rangers now needing to beat Ajax by six goals in their final group game to leapfrog the Dutch side into third place.
The Eredivisie giants haven’t been at their best this season, but they will surely have enough about them to not be completely dismantled at Ibrox.
