Alfredo Morelos wasn’t happy with Rangers incident as BBC Sportscene footage emerges – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Tam McManus was happy with the VAR decision that saw Morgan Boyes sent off for Livingston against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.
Alfredo Morelos was hacked down by the Livingston player in the second half of the Scottish Premiership showdown in Govan.
As shown on BBC Sportscene on Saturday (22 October, 26m58s), Boyes was initially booked for his horrific challenge on the Colombia striker before a VAR call saw the yellow card upgraded to a sending off.

It was the first time VAR was used in a Rangers match in domestic football and while McManus was happy with that decision, he’s not impressed by the fact the Gers failed to capitalise on having an extra man and only muster a 1-1 draw.
“Yes, I think it was [the right decision],” McManus told Ibrox News.
“I think it was a poor tackle, he goes reckless and high and Morelos wasn’t happy with the challenge either.
“I think that gave Rangers momentum at a time where the game was fizzling out.
“Livingston were quite comfortable so that gave Rangers a wee bit of impetus to get the equaliser.
“They should’ve won the game but to drop two points at home to Livingston, particularly with Celtic going four points clear, Rangers supporters are not happy.
“They know that another couple of bad results and the league’s slipped away from them.”

John Lundstram’s equalising goal came in the first minute of stoppage time at the end of the game.
It means the Gers are now four points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.
In other Rangers news, this Gers star was involved in a “naughty” incident that had a BT Sport pundit talking live on air.
