Rangers chances of beating Celtic to Scottish Premiership title predicted by Super Computer
Rangers have less than a third of the chances of Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership after the draw with Livingston, according to a Super Computer.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under pressure and the fans have turned on the team as results have headed south, while the gap at the top of the table opened to four points on Saturday (22 October) with the 1-1 scoreline at Ibrox.
John Lundstram’s added-time equaliser was needed to rescue even the point as the Gers threw 73 crosses into the box on the day but struggled badly to make meaningful inroads into the visitors’ defence until they had a man advantage.

The prediction from FiveThirtyEight following the weekend’s results is that Rangers now have just a 24% chance of regaining the title they lost to Ange Postecoglou’s men last season.
The Hoops meanwhile are now overwhelming favourites with a 76% probability of retaining their crown come May, in what amounts to a damning indictment of the direction of travel currently at Ibrox.
Ominous
It is pretty clear that there will be no repeat of the European heroics of last season again this year, as the thrashing’s mount up in the Champions League and leave the club in danger of the worst entry into that competition ever.
So if the league title is near enough out of reach already even a double-domestic cup win, which there are obviously no guarantees of, wouldn’t be enough to make this season feel like a success.
There are some bright spots, most notably the signing and form of Antonio Colak up front, and possibly the development of Leon King in defence, but past that there is little to inspire any positivity.

The summer transfer haul is proving insufficient, through a combination of injury and apparently poor recruitment, and the stars of the previous title win are a shadow of their former selves.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent look like they are just waiting for their contracts to expire and James Tavernier has had to deny that he is carrying an injury while still playing every game.
The season is rapidly unravelling and we are not even at the World Cup break, let alone Christmas, so while there is time to turn things around it doesn’t look very likely at the moment.
In other Rangers news, one Ibrox favourite has backed the fans fury at the team as they boo the players off the pitch again.
