Kenny Dalglish blown away by Rangers striker Antonio Colak
Kenny Dalglish has suggested that Antonio Colak has been a “superb” signing for Rangers.
While the Liverpool legend is baffled by what’s going on with Alfredo Morelos, he is blown away by the qualities shown by the Croatian striker.
Dalglish has suggested that Morelos is still a part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s plans, and feels it’s high time the Dutchman should consider playing both strikers together.

“Now, I’ve no idea what was going through the Colombian striker’s head. He rarely speaks to the media, so there won’t be an explanation from him,” wrote Dalglish in his column for The Sunday Post (23 October, page 19)
“It could be that he was really looking to do well, and was frustrated at his own performance.
“Whatever is going on, I don’t particularly want to focus on Alfredo.
“I’d prefer to look at the merits of Antonio, and the qualities he brings to the table.
“He has been a superb signing, and has shown he is reliable. He has been the main shining light out of all of Rangers’ summer signings.
“Yet I think there is still a role for Alfredo to play at Rangers. I heard Giovanni van Bronckhorst say that there is no reason why Antonio and Alfredo can’t operate as a partnership up front.”
Spot on
Colak has been in tremendous form for the Bears, and Dalglish is absolutely right about him.
Morelos has been the club’s leading striker all these years, and he has managed over 100 goals for the club, which is an incredible achievement.
But it is hard to guess what’s going on with him.
He has now become the second-choice striker behind Colak, and whenever he is given the opportunity he doesn’t boost confidence either.

This is really a problem for the Dutchman, considering he needs to make a decision on the Colombian, who has less than a year remaining on his present deal.
Morelos is a mobile forward, and Van Bronckhorst can tweak the system to accommodate both of them in the starting line-up.
Rangers will face Napoli in their next game in the Champions League, and they will be looking to get something on board.
It will be a herculean recovery if they can win their next two games and secure a passage to the Europa League. But, at least they must get something from their next two games.
In other Rangers news, van Bronckhorst is “finished” at Ibrox with a journalist sharing his sack verdict on the Dutchman.
