Chris Sutton laughs live on BT Sport as John Lundstram misses Rangers winner v Livingston
Chris Sutton was full of laughter and jokes at Rangers after John Lundstram missed the chance to score a winner deep in added time against Livingston.
The English midfielder had grabbed an equaliser at the end of the 90 after the visitors had taken the lead early through Joel Nouble, as the Gers struggled to find a rhythm and were booed off at half time.
The newly-introduced VAR saw Morgan Boyes sent off late in the second half and the home side’s pressure dragged out a leveller, but as the clock ticked towards 97 minutes and Lundstram was found with a cross from the left he could only head off target with the last action, and Sutton loved it as the game finished 1-1.

Speaking live on BT Sport Score on Saturday evening (22 October, 4.57pm) as the game ticked deep into seven minutes of injury time Sutton said: “Are they playing until Rangers score?”
As the game continued he started laughing and shouted: “It’s quarter past five!”
Then as Lundstram headed over to a chorus of cries from the panel he sarcastically added: “Oh what a shame!”
Kenny Miller tried to sum up what he had seen, saying: “John Lundstram has just missed a sitter… he’s got a header eight yards out, on his own, unmarked, just needs to find the target and it’s a goal and a 2-1 win. He heads it wide.”
Referring to the added time a laughing Sutton added one last wise crack: “Ref tried didn’t he? He tried.”
Painful
No wonder ardent Hoops man Sutton is having so much fun at the moment, as the gap at the top of the table is now back up to four points thanks to two dropped at Ibrox.
With Giovanni van Bronckhorst refusing to shield his players from criticism after supporters booed during the 1-0 win over lower league Dundee in midweek, this needed to be a strong display.
Not only was it not that but it wasn’t even a win, and it took a fortunate red card for Livi for the Light Blues to even muster a point.

Things appear to be getting worse instead of better as every week passes at the moment, and this was another miserable outing in the grand scheme of things.
What happens next remains to be seen, but it appears the message that came loud and clear from the stands in the League Cup was not heeded.
It was the same message again today, and it is sure to continue in that manner unless or until there is a major improvement, which doesn’t look especially likely right now.
In other Rangers news, Sutton was also having a go early in the game after the visitors gave the Bears a nightmare start.
