Rangers reach new low in embarrassing blast by ex-Ajax boss amid Mohammed Kudus criticism
Mohammed Kudus was only able to have success against Rangers because their defenders are “stupid” according to ex-Ajax boss Aad de Mos.
The Ghanian international scored an excellent goal in the 4-0 Champions League thrashing on 7 September, but the young star, who was a transfer target for the likes of Everton in the summer, has been given a less than glowing assessment by the former manager of the Dutch giants.
And in the process the Gers defence has been dismissed in truly embarrassing terms, to add to the humiliation of four-straight heavy defeats in the top European club competition this season.

The now-TV pundit was discussing the Ajax squad and said, as per the Daily Record: “And he can bring Steven Berghuis, Dusan Tadic and Davy Klaassen into attack.
“He is a far better option than Mohammed Kudus, who will get only some joy against stupid defenders like Rangers have who will run with him and leave spaces.
“But against quality defenders at Napoli, they are far too clever for that.”
New low
The Light Blues players are now being used as throw-away fodder to be insulted just as an aside during more deliberate criticism of other primary targets.
It is possibly not surprising however, given the state of the Group A table, which now reads zero points and a minus 15 goal difference from four games.
The absolute inability to compete in Europe has led to a lot of introspection in terms of the standing of Scottish football, but off the back of a memorable run to the Europa League final last year there is really no excuse for Rangers to have done so badly.

They were drawn in arguably the toughest group in the competition, and therefore even if they finished without a point it could be excused if they were the kind of swashbuckling outfit at Ibrox that they were a season ago.
But even the single instance that suggested that might belatedly be on show, when Scott Arfield finished off a nice move to score their first goal in the competition for a decade against Liverpool, only preceded an epic collapse to lose 7-1.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under pressure, and looks like he has had enough after he criticised his own players for the tiresome 1-0 League Cup win over Dundee on Wednesday (19 October), and confidence is clearly low.
There is a growing feeling that despite the successes of last year the old squad has come to the end of its cycle, and the new signings haven’t added enough, Antonio Colak aside.
So, barring a surprise upturn in fortunes pretty quickly it seems like there could be fairly significant change in the coming weeks at Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, the manager is now close to an exit after his reaction to the midweek flop.
