Alan Rough raves about Glen Kamara, predicts Rangers v Dundee
Alan Rough has predicted a comfortable 3-0 win for Rangers against Dundee in the Scottish League Cup clash on Wednesday (19 October).
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has said that it’s a “very important” domestic cup competition for him, and he is expected to field a strong side, with there will be some major changes.
Glen Kamara is one of those players who could come into the side, and Rough has described him as a “superb” midfielder who is more suited to European style.

“I think he is more of a European style player rather than the hustle-bustle of domestic leagues,” said Rough on PLZ Soccer (18 October).
“In Europe, I thought he was superb. I would probably go 3-0.”
Curious case
Kamara was one of the key players under Steven Gerrard a couple of seasons back and there were suggestions that he would land in the Premier League at some point.
He still remains an important part of Van Bronckhorst’s side, but he is not a regular starter at the moment. The Dutchman values his quality, but he is far from being consistent.
The injuries have restricted his appearances, no doubt, but Kamara definitely needs to raise his level of performance.

Many feel that he is looking for a move or that he has lost his mojo, but in order to move to a big Premier League club, he needs to perform at Rangers. That is not happening at the moment.
Also, Van Bronckhorst probably has lost complete trust in him after some of his dreadful performances in big games. He now has a chance to prove a point to his manager and stake his claim in the side.
In other Rangers news, an official partner of the Gers has called on the board to sack van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson.
