Rangers star defender Connor Goldson will be out of action for several months
Rangers will be without star defender Connor Goldson for months after the club confirmed the nightmare extent of his injury.
Goldson limped off in Rangers humiliating 7-1 defeat to Liverpool at Ibrox on Wednesday evening and his thigh injury is now worse than first feared.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst confessed the defender will be out “several months” in a damning statement that will ultimately affect Gers title ambitions this year.

“Goldson and Jack have injuries, they both have muscular issues and won’t be back in the short term Davies had a knock but could continue, he has no injury and I expect him to be involved tomorrow. It’s always a blow, Connor has played all the games since I arrived,” said Van Bronckhorst as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I’m not exactly sure yet on Connor (Goldson), but it will be several months out by looks of it.”

Oh no.
After Goldson limped off at Ibrox on Wednesday evening, Gers shipped six goals, if there was ever an indication of his importance to the team it was on that night.
Van Bronckhorst now faces an injury crisis in his misfiring squad and the Gers Scottish Premiership title ambitions seem to be dwindling by the day.
Summer signing John Souttar is out until after the World Cup and Filip Helander is facing a similar spell on the sidelines for Rangers.
There has been one positive in recent days, however, with centre-back Ben Davies being confirmed fit to face Motherwell in a must-win clash on Sunday afternoon.
Van Bronckhorst may look to make an emergency signing if things continue to turn south, it’s bleak viewing for the Dutch boss and Gers fans alike.
Hopefully, some resolutions can be made in the coming weeks, Goldson will be a bigger miss than people think.
In other Rangers news, an official partner of the club has called for van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson to be sacked.
