Barry Ferguson predicts chaos at Rangers if club loses in clash v Motherwell

Barry Ferguson predicts chaos at Rangers if the club fails to turn up in Sunday’s clash against Motherwell after their 7-1 UEFA Champions League humiliation.

It’s sketchy times for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Rangers, the Dutch boss will come under even more scrutiny if his team fail to pick up points on Sunday.

Ferguson claimed the Rangers players will know what a “full blown crisis” feels like if they fail to beat Motherwell on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers

“So I’m not about to make excuses for a performance and a result that humiliated Rangers fans all over the country. It was unacceptable. It was painful,” said Ferguson as quoted by Football Scotland.

“And the manager will have to work out, who needs to be told some home truths and who needs an arm around his shoulder. Because, with just three days to prepare for Motherwell away, they don’t have time to mope around feeling sorry for themselves or they really will find out what a full blown crisis feels like.

“It’s not a nice position to be in. It’s sore and it’s hard for any professional to handle.”

Rangers

Chaotic.

It’s chaotic times for Rangers at the moment and Ferguson isn’t wrong when he says there’s no time to be moping about, Gers have a Scottish Premiership to win.

Wednesday evening was extremely embarrassing, there is no denying that, but the UEFA Champions League was always going to be a daunting task, made harder by the financial gap between Gers and clubs in the competition.

If there was ever a time to regain some dignity and dust off a heavy defeat, it’s away to Motherwell in a tricky domestic fixture.

Anything other than three points and there must be questions raised over Van Bronckhort’s future at the club but until then the team needs to come together and fight.

Gers are down bad right now, but that’s nothing compared to what they might face if they lose or draw to Motherwell, Sunday really is a must-win.

How Rangers respond to this adversity remains to be seen.

In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson may have played a blinder for Rangers after a shocking development in October that will leave many Gers fans surprised.
