Jamie O’Hara thinks Rangers are ‘out of their depth’ in the Champions League, predicts result v Liverpool
Rangers are “out of their depth” in the Champions League and Jamie O’Hara thinks Liverpool will claim a comfortable win on Wednesday night.
Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s side have been beaten in all three group games so far this season, failing to score a goal in any of the matches as they sit rock bottom with minimal chance of progression to the next round.
The former Spurs and Wolves midfielder was speaking to talkSPORT Edge [12 October] when he claimed that the Glasgow club aren’t good enough for the elite European competition and backed Liverpool to earn a 2-0 win at Ibrox.
“Toughie, tough game that for Rangers,” he said. “I think they’re out of their depth. They really are.
“Liverpool haven’t been great, they’ve just been beat by Arsenal so they’re going to want to kick on again. They probably looking and thinking their only real chance is the Champions League now, for trophies. The cup competitions.
“I’ll go 2-0 Liverpool.”
Doubters
Rangers have obviously struggled in the Champions League this season, but to say we don’t belong at this level is ridiculous.
We were one of the best performing sides in Europe last season and earned our spot in this competition by beating the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and PSV Eindhoven in this calendar year.

The defeat to Ajax was horrific, and the Napoli game didn’t reflect what happened on the pitch in the end, but there’s no doubt the Liverpool game was the worst of the bunch with no ambition shown.
But Rangers know they must be better and the only way is up, especially at home against a weakened side like Liverpool who will be keen to attack and get over their own hump in form.
A result is there to be taken at Ibrox and Rangers are capable of hurting any team in the world on their day, so lets prove Mr. O’Hara wrong and give Klopp’s boys a beating.
