Chris Sutton and Stan Collymore mocks Rangers on Twitter as they lose 7-1 to Liverpool
Chris Sutton mocked Rangers on Twitter as they were on the end of a 7-1 hiding from Liverpool at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
Scott Arfield put the Gers ahead and the game was level at 1-1 at half-time before a second-half landslide saw Mohamed Salah come off the bench to score a five-minute hat-trick.
Salah’s Premier League form hasn’t been that great this season and Sutton joked that Rangers have done their bit to get the Egypt international back on track.

Writing via his personal Twitter account, Sutton said: “Rangers playing Mo Salah into form…”
After that, Sutton tweeted again with a gif to show his reaction to the huge scoreline at Ibrox.
Stan Collymore also joined the Twitter pile-on, seeking out a phone-in to listen to Rangers fans reacting to the humiliating defeat.
He said: “Anyone recommend a good Scottish football phone in tonight?
“Asking for a friend.”
Collymore then started listening to Radio Clyde, adding: “I’m in.”
Rancid
We deserve all the mocking we get – that was disgusting.
Rangers fans do not deserve to go through that but it seems that the players and the management find those sorts of performances acceptable these days.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s decisions in the Champions League have been shocking and the performances by some of his players are nowhere near befitting of a player for this club.
James Tavernier, Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent were disgraceful against Liverpool while no one else really can say they played that well.
In the first half, we were the better team.
Connor Goldson’s injury was always going to have an impact and Salah’s introduction was never going to help.
But to lose 7-1 at home is unacceptable and heads need to roll for this.
For starters, Barisic and Kent should never play for this football club again.
Get them gone.
We need a busy January transfer window to make up for the mess of a squad Ross Wilson has put together.
In other Rangers news, there’s been yet another high-profile exit from behind the scenes at Ibrox.
