Liverpool handed triple injury boost ahead of Rangers Champions League clash

Liverpool have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of their decisive Champions League clash against Rangers on Wednesday night.

After beating the 55-time SPFL winners at Anfield, the Premier League giants will now travel north of the border to take them on at Ibrox.

While they have a number of key first-team players ruled out including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz, they have some good news on the injury front.

Via Twitter, he wrote, “Good to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back training with #LFC after two-and-a-half months out with a hamstring problem. Andy Robertson and Curtis Jones were also involved at the AXA Training Centre a little earlier.”

Go for the kill

Rangers cannot afford to sit back and play the way they did a week ago as they will most likely suffer defeat against Liverpool.

Instead, they need to capitalise on the missing Liverpool players and go out and give them a fight.

A few rough challenges early on will send a direct message to Jurgen Klopp’s men that the hosts are here to fight and will play like they have nothing to lose.

Midfield and right-back are Liverpool’s Achilles heel and we’ll be really surprised if Giovanni van Bronckhorst doesn’t look to exploit that.

The Reds have struggled against most teams in the Premier League this season that are not better on paper than Rangers.

With a packed Ibrox crowd cheering every attack, the players will have that added incentive to go out and win this for their fans.

In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson may have played a blinder for Rangers after a shocking development in October that will leave many Gers fans surprised.
