Official club partner send Giovanni van Bronckhorst a message ahead of Rangers clash vs Liverpool
Heart and Hand podcast have told Giovanni van Bronckhorst to “have a go” at Liverpool on Wednesday when they come to Ibrox to face Rangers.
The Gers set up with a back five and two holding midfielders at Anfield and were dominated as they lost 2-0, all but ending their hopes of qualification out of the Champions League group stages.
But after Arsenal scored inside the opening minute in their clash with Liverpool on Sunday en route to a 3-2 win at The Emirates Stadium, the club’s official partner sent a message to the manager via their Twitter account imploring him to go for a win.
“Note to Gio – have a go Wednesday. Especially down their right,” they said.
Arsenal left-winger Gabriel Martinelli was voted man of the match after a goal and a wonderful performance in which Trent Alexander-Arnold was at fault for two goals before being substituted at half-time.
Nothing to lose
Rangers are essentially out of the Champions League already after three relatively humiliating defeats and no goals scored so far.
But a win against a Liverpool side who are far from being at their best right now would go a long way to potentially securing a Europa League place for the remainder of the season by finishing in third.

Having the home advantage will be a huge boost in two of the final three games of the group and there is clearly a blueprint to beat Liverpool, and that’s simply attacking them.
There is obviously a risk of potentially getting battered if you leave yourself too open at the other end, but Rangers have to have belief in themselves that they’re capable of defending to a level where that doesn’t happen.
Go for the win, because we have the talent to hurt them and we have nothing to lose at this point. Go for the win Gio, go for the win.
