Robbie McCrorie Rangers contract extension should mean Ibrox exit for Kieran Wright
Kieran Wright is a name that is rarely used at Ibrox and after the latest contract development at Rangers, it should be a name that we never hear again.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper is part of Rangers’ ranks for the 2022/23 season after returning from a loan spell at Dumbarton in May. The shot-stopper came through the ranks at the Gers and has spent the majority of his time at Ibrox out on loan.
The former Scotland under-21 international has never made an appearance for the first team and the latest news on the contract front is probably the final nail in the coffin for the 22-year-old.

Robby McCrorie’s new three-year contract extension was confirmed on Thursday [6 October] and that should be a huge indication as to how Giovanni van Bronckhorst views his goalkeeping situation moving forward.
Wright is entering the final year of his current deal at the club and it’s clear that Jon McLaughlin and McCrorie will be vying it out for the number one jersey when Allan McGregor hangs up his gloves.
There is clearly no future for the outcast at Ibrox and he should be one of a number of departures either in January or later on next summer.

This is a scenario that happens far too often at Ibrox with younger players often shipped out on loan far too often and eventually allowed to leave for a minimal fee or nothing at the end of their contract.
Rangers’ fans certainly won’t lose sleep over the fourth-choice keeper departing the club in the near future.
In other Rangers news, the club now had a record-breaking striker on trial at Ibrox and he’s gone on to make headlines in the United Kingdom.
