Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to see more from Ryan Kent
Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to see more from “dangerous” Ryan Kent after the winger has failed to deliver his previous heights.
Kent’s performances for Gers have come under scrutiny this campaign, however, he found the back of the net for the first time in 10 months in Saturday’s win over Hearts.
Van Bronckhorst admitted that Kent gives his side a “threat” moving forward and wants the winger to make more of his exceptional qualities.

“He has to bring more. Ryan is an exceptional player with a lot of qualities,” said Van Bronckhorst as quoted by the Daily Record.
“The performance he had against Hearts was a really good one. He gives us a threat going forward.
“I know that his qualities haven’t been there in every game, he just has to be consistent to be dangerous so he can provide an assist or to score.
“He’s definitely a player who can give us more goals and assists.”

Prepare.
Rangers must prepare to replace Kent with his contract expiring this summer, it seems he’ll be looking for a new challenge elsewhere.
Whether Kent leaves the club in January or Gers lose him for free in the summer, it’s unlikely on his current form that they will recoup any of the £7.5m they paid for him.
Ultimately it will be a disappointing end to Kent’s time at Ibrox and it seems contract squabbles have distracted him on and off the pitch this season.
Nevertheless, it’s painful to keep and watch a player at the club who clearly doesn’t want to be there anymore so Rangers need to find a suitable replacement.
He may end up signing a new contract and this will all become a distant memory, but that looks highly unlikely as things stand, the ball is firmly in Kent’s court.
The sooner this one gets resolved the better.
