Rangers star Ryan Kent can exploit weakness of Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold – Mark Hateley
Mark Hateley believes Ryan Kent can exploit the weakness of Trent Alexander-Arnold when Rangers will face Liverpool.
Both teams will clash on matchday three of the UEFA Champions League at Anfield on Tuesday, 04 October.
Hateley, while speaking to Grosvenor Sport as quoted by Football Scotland, suggested it is the kind of match the 25-year-old can use to exploit the weakness of the England international.

“The Liverpool clash is a great game for Ryan Kent to play,” he said. “He has a point to prove and I think he can own up to this one.
“When I say that it hasn’t been a good season for him so far. The numbers he’s producing have been low.
“But coming on at the weekend and scoring a goal will do his confidence the world of good. Players like Ryan thrive off confidence and he can take that to Anfield.
“Playing against Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a great opportunity for Kent to be taking Trent Alexander Arnold on a football journey so let’s hope that can happen.”
Big opportunity
Rangers are going through a decent season as they are placed in the second position in the league table. However, their form in Europe has been pretty dismal where they have lost both matches against Ajax and Napoli, that too by a comprehensive margin.

One of the players who disappointed massively in those games was Kent as there was so much expected of him because of heroics in the past.
The fans will be hoping that Hateley’s words will come true and that the 25-year-old will produce one of the best performances of the season against a player like Alexander-Arnold who is short on confidence.
The match also presents an opportunity for Kent to once again rise his stock price as not to forget, he is in the final year of his contract and if there is no progress on a new deal in the near future, he will be allowed to talk to foreign clubs to sign a pre-contract in less than three months’ time.
