Jamie O’Hara shares verdict on which club is bigger out of Rangers and Liverpool
Jamie O’Hara believes that Liverpool are a bigger club than Rangers, but gave a really bizarre reason as to why while speaking to talkSPORT.
The two giants of British football go head to head in the UEFA Champions League group stages tonight, with the light blues yet to score a goal or earn a point in the tournament so far.
But when asked pre-game which club were bigger, O’Hara told talkSPORT EDGE [4 October] that it was Liverpool because they play in the Premier League despite both clubs having an “unbelievable” history.
“You’re setting me up to fail here aren’t you, I can’t win,” he said.
“Whatever I say is harsh. Look they’ve both got unbelievable histories, of course they have. But Liverpool, Premier League, them and Man United are the two biggest clubs in the country.”
Rubbish
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with saying that Liverpool are a bigger club than Rangers, because there is some truth to it.
But to say they are because they play in the Premier League is just a completely baffling reason and one that makes no sense or has any sort of correlation.

We have won 55 league titles compared to their 20, but their huge success in Europe certainly gives them a reason to pull away from us, plus their world appeal with their fan base.
There’s no doubting that they’re the better team right now but Rangers are in good form with two consecutive wins and with Liverpool struggling for form themselves it’ll be interesting to see everyone’s reactions if we come away from Anfield with all three points.
O’Hara is entitled to his opinion, but when it’s pure waffle he’d be better off keeping it to himself in future because he’s just making himself look an idiot in honesty.
