Three Liverpool players miss training ahead of Rangers Champions League clash

Liverpool trio Naby Keita, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are reportedly doubts for the Rangers clash after reportedly missing Monday training.

According to the BBC, while Ibrahima Konate and Calvin Ramsay both took part in drills, the three aforementioned players were nowhere to be seen.

They also missed the draw on Saturday against Brighton as well and they possibly have not returned to full fitness just yet.

Via Twitter, the BBC wrote, “Ibrahima Konate & Calvin Ramsay have both taken part in training ahead of #LFC’s #UCL group stage game against #RangersFC at Anfield tomorrow night

“Naby Keita, Curtis Jones & Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, however, were not involved in the session.”

Upset on cards?

Heads have dropped on Merseyside after Liverpool’s poor start to the season and dropping two points at home further added to their misery.

They are no longer a tough side to play against and even a half-decent team can give them a run for their money, as they have this season.

The problem for Rangers is that they have not even managed to be a half-decent team in Europe and their performances have been shambolic.

Thankfully, they enjoyed a big win in the league over the weekend, so there is some momentum going into this game, and they will have to hope that the Reds are in the same sort of mood.

If they decide to up the ante and play to their true potential we could see another pummelling, especially with the Anfield crowd loud and cheering the side on for every attack.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst cannot approach this one like it’s just another game and we’re excited to see how well this side fares against one of the favourites.

In other Rangers news, the club now had a record-breaking striker on trial at Ibrox and he’s gone on to make headlines in the United Kingdom.
