Kris Boyd names Rangers trio Connor Goldson, Ryan Kent and Antonio Colak in SPFL team of the week
Kris Boyd has named Rangers trio Connor Goldson, Ryan Kent and Antonio Colak in his Scottish Premiership team of the week after the 4-0 win over Hearts.
The Gers bounced back after a rough period in the season to claim a dominant win on Tynecastle thanks to goals from Alfredo Morelos, Kent and a brace from Morelos to keep the gap at the top of the table at just two points.
After watching the two attackers combine for goals he named them both in his team of the week for The Sun, while vice-captain Goldson also got the nod for his performance at the back.
It was the first Rangers clean sheet since the 4-0 win over Ross County back in August, and the central defender was key to that with his reading of the game and his defensive nous.
All three players are expected to start on Tuesday night when Giovanni van Bronckhorst takes his side to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the Champions League.
Boost
It’s been a good season so far all things considered, and while those three results in September certainly skewed opinion for some, they’re back on track now.
Getting a clean sheet in the game was hugely important and impressive against a Hearts side who have only been outscored by Rangers themselves, Celtic and Aberdeen.

Scoring four is always a great thing to do too, and with the attacking players forming a great partnership and entering the game against Liverpool in form there is hope they could cause an upset.
They will need to be at their best to do so, but Colak has shown a great knack of being in the right place at the right time and Kent is electric on the biggest stage.
If they can replicate their performances in this game at Anfield then Rangers will have a much better chance of success, while Goldson will thrive off the pressure of playing against some of the best attackers in the world.
