Rangers handed double boost for crunch SPFL clash v Hearts
Rangers have been handed a double boost for their game against Hearts on Saturday as two of their players have been ruled out.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s future does appear to be on the line and in many ways, this is a must-win game.
With Celtic losing in the last gameweek, it does give Gers a chance to pile the pressure but they cannot do that if they keep dropping points.

Robbie Neilson confirmed the Hearts team news and said that both Liam Boyce and Beni Baningime will miss the match.
He said, via the Scottish Sun, “We’re still pushing with Craig. It’ll be touch and go for Saturday but we hope to have him back for the Thursday game against Fiorentina but other than that it’s Boyce and Baningime who are out.”
All or nothing
It seems like from here on in, every game is like a do-or-die for van Bronckhorst and it’s a real challenge as to whether or not he sticks or twists.
These are tricky moments for every manager and he’s got to prove that he’s the right man for the job now.
His performances in Europe last season proved that he is a good cup manager with this squad, but consistency over many games in a league campaign is different.
Thus far, he’s fallen short of expectations on that front and that is precisely why he’s fighting for his job at Ibrox.
A good performance here can allay fears and also give the side much needed momentum going into the game against Liverpool.
It’s going to be a tricky encounter against the Reds and they need to be up for it and approach it in the right frame of mind.
In other Rangers news, the club now had a record-breaking striker on trial at Ibrox and he’s gone on to make headlines in the United Kingdom.
