Brighton could help Rangers title charge by taking Ange Postecoglou away from Celtic
Rangers started their Premiership season perfectly before a recent run of results has seen them plunged into crisis territory in the last week.
A 4-0 thrashing at Parkhead by Celtic was followed up by a 4-0 drubbing by Ajax in the UEFA Champions League group stages, leaving them five points off the top of the table and with a mountain to climb to find success.
But they could be about to be handed a big boost in their chase for success, as Brighton begin their hunt for a brand new manager in the Premier League.

After Graham Potter was snapped up by Chelsea following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, they need a replacement and are known for their left field appointments.
They have been linked with approaches for Championship bosses Russel Martin and Nathan Jones, as well as Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper and Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen.
But if they decide to stretch their reach a little further, there is the possibility of an approach for Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.
The Greek-Australian has taken Scottish football by storm and has built an exciting Celtic side that have dominated the domestic game over the last 14 months, while also putting on a great display in Europe despite defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday.
And just like Rangers were dealt a blow when Aston Villa came calling for Steven Gerrard last year and derailed their campaign somewhat, the same could happen on the other side of Glasgow if Brighton come calling.

The situations are wildly different however. Rangers weren’t in the Champions League when Villa came calling, and Villa are a much bigger club and opportunity than Brighton. You can argue there isn’t a big difference at all in the favour of the English side between them and Celtic right now.
But money talks in football these days, and we know how much money Premier League teams have in comparison to Scotland. Especially a team who just banked over £20m for their manager and his backroom staff.
If they do make the approach it could prove impossible for Celtic and Postecoglou to say no, and that could allow a period of uncertainty and transition that would give Rangers a window back into the title race at least.
