Rangers suffer travel problems on way to Ajax Champions League tie
Rangers were disrupted in their travel on the way to Amsterdam for their Champions League tie against Ajax, according to De Telegraaf.
The Light Blues will play in the early kick-off on Wednesday as they look to start their group stage campaign off on a positive note away at the home of the champions of the Netherlands.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side were late to get to Eindhoven for their playoff game against PSV due to traffic for their team bus and the travel problems struck again on Dutch soil.

This time, it was a delayed flight from Glasgow that briefly halted their endeavours to Holland but van Bronckhorst was not worried about it and still led his team to the Johan Cruyff ArenA on the eve of the big game.
Elsewhere in the Gers’ group, Napoli host Liverpool at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradonabut that game doesn’t kick off until 8pm UK time.
Tactics
If this is some kind of tactic from the Dutch to disrupt the opposition in European competitions then they should have realised after it failed in Eindhoven that Rangers are impervious to it.
There is far too much character in this Light Blues squad to be put off by a slightly delayed flight or bus journey as they have proven time and time again on the continent over the past 12 months.

Perhaps the only worry van Bronckhorst will have is whether his sidewall still put everything on the line in the group stage like they did in the Europa League knockout rounds last season and in the qualifiers of this campaign.
It shouldn’t be lost on the players that nothing less will be good enough considering the strength of the teams they are going to come up against and even their utmost effort may go unrewarded in the cut-throat world of Champions League football.
