Rangers lack of business towards end of transfer window ‘not frustrating’ – GvB
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has revealed that he was “not frustrated” with Rangers not being able to sign any new players at the end of the summer transfer window.
The Gers ended up making seven first-team signings in the recently concluded window to bolster their squad.
When asked while talking to Sky Sports (14:40) on Friday whether he was left frustrated by the club’s lack of business in the final days of the window, Van Bronckhorst stated that he was happy with the squad.

“I am not frustrated at all,” said the 47-year-old. “I said before that I am relaxed and nothing has changed till now.
“We did our business early which helped us in having the squad before the start of the season which was important.
“I was happy with the squad and I think we have a competitive group which should be good enough to compete in different competitions.”

Rangers entered the transfer window knowing they will have to sign a number of players because some of the players were in the final year of their contract whereas they also needed to strengthen different areas on the pitch.

After making seven first-team additions, the squad is looking more than decent and by keeping players like Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, Rangers should have enough in the tank to go through the season with not many problems.
Now it is all about producing the kind of results that are expected of the side, especially after heroics in the previous campaign where Rangers won the Scottish Cup and also finished as the runners-up in the UEFA Europa League.
The fans will be hoping that manager Van Bronckhorst will be able to turn the side into a real force on the domestic front as well where they are just two points behind leaders Celtic and a win on Saturday will help them claim the top spot from their bitt rivals.
