Rangers should keep Alfredo Morelos out in cold despite supposed attitude shift
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has taken a stance on Alfredo Morelos’ attitude at Rangers but things may be turning around for the Colombian.
The Light Blues striker had been exiled from the first team squad after the manager was left disenchanted by his demeanour after he was sent off away at Hibernian.
He was forced to miss the trip to Eindhoven where Rangers beat PSV to reach the Champions League group stage but van Bronckhorst has now claimed that he has seen a drastic change in the 25-year-old’s attitude in training.
“I had a good meeting with Morelos, he has trained well. There has been a change in his attitude and he has a big part to play in the future,” the manager said in his post-match press conference after the 3-1 Scottish League Cup win against Queen of the South, as quoted by Heart and Hand on Twitter.
But while forgiveness is a crucial attribute for any human being to have, van Bronckhorst will just end up with a similar scenario further down the line because trouble follows Morelos around wherever he goes.
He has been the only good striker at the club for some time so he has got away with his antics but Antonio Colak’s arrival has taken the need for the Colombian international out of the equation.

Especially with his contract expiring next summer, Rangers have to find a way to sell Morelos right now to ensure they get some kind of transfer fee for him even if that means taking far less than they were hoping for.
Keeping him at Ibrox will cause far more problems than solutions for van Bronckhorst and even though it would leave him one striker short, there are players who can do a job as a number nine if Colak misses the odd game.
In other Rangers news, the Ibrox exit door is now fully open for this rarely-seen academy graduate as Livingston make a last-ditch transfer attempt.
