Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos offered to Fenerbahce by agent

Alfredo Morelos’ exit from Rangers could be fast-tracked with his agent offering his services to Fenerbahce, according to Takvim.

The Colombian international has fallen out with Giovanni van Bronkhorst after the Dutch manager exiled him from his squad for the crucial Champions League playoff away at PSV Eindhoven.

He has now decided that he wants out of Ibrox and has asked his agent to start looking for a new club with just four days left of the transfer window.

Fenerbahce manager Jorge Jesus is considering the prospect of signing the 25-year-old as he searches for a striker late in the window but a move doesn’t appear imminent yet with the Portuguese boss pondering his report.

The Black and Yellows could be able to pick Morelos up for a bargain price with his contract at Rangers expiring in the summer of 2023 and him having no intentions of staying.

Get him gone

Last season, Rangers needed Morelos more than Morelos needed Rangers but with the summer arrival of Antonio Colak from PAOK in Greece, that pendulum has swung entirely in the opposite direction.

The Light Blues still have a talismanic number nine who can score goals for fun but now without the constant worry that he is going to do something insane that leads to him getting suspended.

That’s exactly what happened in what could be Morelos’ final ever Rangers game as he led with an elbow against Hibernian and was sent for an early bath having only come off the bench during the second half.

It was a moment that summed up his entire Gers career and probably the straw that broke the camel’s back as van Bronckhorst is concerned who has clearly had enough of his antics.

Fenerbahce had better be ready for carnage if they sign Morelos before the transfer window shuts but it could be a nice little payday for the Glasgow club.
