Chris Sutton slaughters Rangers star Alfredo Morelos live on BT Sport
Chris Sutton has let loose on Alfredo Morelos after the Rangers star was left out of the squad for the 4-0 win vs Ross County again on Saturday.
The Colombian forward was axed from the first-team picture ahead of the Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven in midweek, and was left out once again by Giovanni van Bronckhorst for Saturday’s Premiership game.
Speaking about the situation live on BT Sport [August 27], Sutton blasted him for being “super heavy” and said he “let his teammates down” by not being bothered to perform for them.

“Yes well why on Earth would you want someone who is a stone, or super heavy in your squad or in your team?,” he said.
“It’s unacceptable for him to be like that. Super heavy is well overweight. I think it’s a big issue. I really do. You’re talking about the highest level.
“No [sending off isn’t a bigger issue]. No it’s not. Of course that’s an issue but the bigger issue is that you have a player who can’t be bothered to get himself fit.
“Champions League Rangers did brilliantly against PSV. The bigger issue is that he can’t be bothered to get himself fit with games of that magnitude and importance. He’s let his teammates down in that respect.”
Awful
It’s a horrible thing to say when it comes to do with anything related to Chris Sutton, but it’s hard to disagree with what he’s said here.

Morelos is a hero to the fans at Ibrox and while we still love him and hope for an outcome that’s best for all that gets him firing again, it’s not okay that he thought he’d get away with subpar performances and preparation this season.
Thankfully a strong manager like Van Bronckhorst has called him out on it publicly and now he has no choice but to do something about it, or prove to everyone that he isn’t the star he’s been made out to be.
Luckily for Gers he seems to be choosing the former, getting straight in the gym and continuing to be professional and cheering on the team so far since the news broke.
Sutton is never slow to call out Rangers stars for anything, but on this occasion he’s spot on. Hopefully “El Buffalo” can get back into shape and back on the scoresheet so we can shut Sutton up once again.
