Old Michael Stewart tweet surfaces as Rangers win v PSV, he’s been made to look complete fool
Everyone’s favourite failed Rangers trialist Michael Stewart has been made to look a fool after a tweet of his from last year resurfaced on Twitter on Wednesday night.
In the wake of Rangers’ 1-0 win over PSV at the Philips Stadion, fans piled on a tweet by Stewart from 10 August, 2021 that claimed all the best players would be sold by the Gers in the wake of failing to reach the Champions League last year.
Clearly, that didn’t happen and the Gers went all the way to the Europa League final. And now, they’re in the Champions League group stages courtesy of that win in Eindhoven.

Stewart’s tweet from last year said: “Champions League money isn’t coming into Ibrox and surely that’ll mean they need to sell players to try and balance this years accounts.
“Which will obviously have an impact on the team on the pitch.”
What a prediction that was.
Rangers reached the Europa League final, losing only on a penalty shootout to Frankfurt but beating Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig on their way to Seville.
They also won the Scottish Cup.
Now, the Gers are a Champions League club again.
We’ll be rubbing shoulders with the best this season and will be basking in all the money that reaching the group stages will bring to boost the coffers at Ibrox.
Sure, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey have left. But we still have an incredibly talented squad and have replaced them very well with what we’ve seen so far – especially in the attack.
Stewart was no doubt reeling with our win over PSV.
We wish we could have been a fly on the wall to watch his reaction to Antonio Colak’s goal.
In other Rangers news, a journalist is raging over a “national embarrassment” after footage of a Gers incident emerged.
