Rangers legend Kenny Miller believes Morelos is playing with frustration
Kenny Miller believes Alfredo Moreles is little use to Rangers while he is playing with the frustration he is currently feeling.
The Colombian was sent off in the 75th minute, during the club’s 2-2 draw to Hibernian on 20 August, as the Gers threw away a 2-1 lead late on.
John Lundstram was also sent off in the frustrating game, but it was Morelos who Miller has singled out declaring that the Gers need him fit and firing. [Daily Record]
Miller said: “Rangers need a fully fit and firing Alfredo Morelos.
“But right now the club’s best striker is no use to his manager and that was proved again at Easter Road yesterday.
“His red card after coming on as a sub reminded me of the Alfredo we saw in his first couple of seasons at Ibrox and the Colombian is full of frustration right now.”
The Morelos Conundrum
The Gers, who are still top of the table, started the match brightly and were well deserving of their 2-1 lead before the drama began to ensue.
Goals from Tavernier and Lawrence had the Gers in a good position, but the two red cards in quick succession seemed to change the whole trajectory of the game.
Lundstram’s 65th-minute red card was harsh but there was no debate about Morelos’ dismissal as he deliberately hit the Hibernian defender in the face.

Following the red cards, the Gers surrendered control of the game and this subsequently allowed Hibs to get back into the game and eventually score a stoppage-time equaliser.
This is not out of Morelos’ character with this dismissal being the 26-year-old’s fourth for the club since joining the club in 2017.
The Colombian international will need to get his head right during his suspension and try and return to the form that made him an undisputed cult hero amongst the Ibrox faithful.
