Luc Nilis warns PSV ahead of Champions League qualifiers playoffs v Rangers
Former Belgium striker Luc Nilis believes PSV Eindhoven will not play defensive in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers playoff against Rangers.
Both sides will face off in the first match of the two-legged tie at the Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday whereas the next tie will be played next week.
Nilis, while talking to Record Sport, believes that PSV must know that playing defensive at the Ibrox will mean that the side will concede goals.

“If you play defensively in Glasgow, then you know the goals will come,” he said. “But I can’t see PSV doing that. It’s not the Dutch way.”
Big night
Rangers confidence must be sky high coming into the fixture as not long ago, it almost felt that their all hopes of playing in Europe’s elite competition is as good as over.
However, a memorable night in Glasgow on August 9 saw the side overturn a two-goal deficit and secure a place in the Champions League qualifiers playoffs.
Such results often give a team a lot of confidence in achieving something amazing and that is exactly what the Rangers fans will be hoping to see from their players as well.

That result also gives manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst a much-needed breathing space as a poor result a week back would’ve raised concerns about his own future at the club as well.
He will be hoping that his players will be able to replicate what they’ve done last week at the same venue which gives the side an opportunity to play against PSV Eindhoven tonight.
