Craig Moore raves about Rangers talent Malik Tillman
Craig Moore has showered heaps of praise on Rangers summer signing Malik Tillman.
The former Light Blues stopper has hailed him as a “special” talent, adding he is “impossible to second guess”.
Tillman joined the Bears on loan from Bayern Munich and scored against Union Saint-Gilloise at Ibrox to help Rangers win 3-2 on the aggregate in the Champions League qualifier.

“He’s definitely not what you would call a ‘curricular player’. He does things off the cuff and has an ability to act on instinct and express himself. That means he’s not predictable. As a defender, the unpredictable players are the ones you hate to come up against because you never knew what to expect,” said Moore, as quoted by The Daily Record.
“Tillman looks like the type of player who is impossible to second guess. When you have that and you add in experience and confidence that he will get from scoring that goal the other night, then you are looking at a very dangerous player. He instinctively takes up really good positions in central areas and that’s an art.
“Talent is one thing. But character is everything. He most definitely looks like a player with a big career ahead of himself. When you have the talent that this kid has, the most important thing is that you stay humble and stay grounded.
“That’s why I loved his post match interview. You could see what it meant to him. He was quite emotional, there was a bit of a tear in his eye. He knew how much the occasion meant to everyone at the football club. And that’s exactly what you want to see as a fan. You want to see someone who is able to show emotion of what it actually means to him. Because we all know how much it means to the supporters.”
Bright future
Tillman looks like an exciting young talent, and he is already winning the hearts of Rangers fans.
The youngster was impressive on his debut in the 2-1 win over Livingston. He came in the second half and made a big impression, and nearly got a goal to his name.
The 20-year-old also dazzled in the 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock, but his best performance has come so far in the Champions League second leg against Union Saint-Gilloise.
Having said that, the club need to be very patient with him. He is a raw talent and there is plenty of room for his development.

He is a gifted talent and Moore is absolutely spot on with his assessment. Tillman is unpredictable. You just don’t know what he will do next.
However, there will be phases in this long campaign when he may through a bad patch, and at that time mental toughness is required to get out of it.
In other Rangers news, a multi-million bid is being readied for one of Katic’s teammates at Ibrox.
